Who is your most embarrassing celebrity crush?

My most cringeworthy celebrity crush was when I was a kid and I thought Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka was the sexiest thing on two legs.. I would have let him come inside of my chocolate factory.

I'm really not that embarrassed, but Mike Tyson. Middle school library, Life or Time magazine - there was a picture of young Mike shirtless and sweating that had me feeling things. I was obsessed with him for a while.

Dustin Hoffman in Kramer v. Kramer. I was 12 or 13.

John Ritter. I was so jealous of Chrissy and Janet. I would imagine his hairy body soaping up in the shower and getting a glimpse of those hanging balls

For me it was a Bob Costas. I don’t know if it’s embarrassing or just funny. I used to sit through hours of boring sports with my dad and brother just to see my secret hunny.

Well, I think I had very good taste as a child (and I was a child a long time ago). I had a huge crush on Rock Hudson. Now there was a man! He was 6'4" after all and had a wonderfully masculine look. There were many others but Rock was the first. My mother took me to all the Doris Day movies. I realize now that he wasn't much of an actor but....who cares, right! The mother of the boy next door knew people in the biz and spilled the beans about Rock being gay long before the end when he finally came out.

When I was 13 and 14, I used to love to stay up super late and watch Tom Snyder on the Tomorrow Show, which aired weeknights at 1 a.m. on NBC. in the mid 70s. It was right after Johnny Carson.

Was enamored of Tom for some reason. Loved to stare at him. Loved his interview style. Loved his sense of humor. Of course, this was long before I understood what that all meant.

When I was a kid, Tom Selleck ( I always liked older men) and no I'm not embarrassed. My embarrassing crush was John Cusack. I think I had a crush more on the persona he portrayed in a lot of his flicks. Then I found out what an asshole he was in real life and it turned me off him immediately.

There's embarrassing because of the person's horrid personality or a Trump supporter, etc. and there's embarrassing due to appearance. Fred Dryer was a physical specimen in his time, but a godawful conservative prick.

R45 Interesting, I recall when very young being drawn to Mr. French in Family Affair in some way that in retrospect I would say was a crush, but very presexual. That idea of a single male, slightly fussy, but a care taker to children providing emotional warmth and kindness may have seemed like a gay male figure to identify with on an unconscious way. That said, I didn’t feel that way towards Uncle Charlie on My Three Sons, which was quite the testosterone fest, or later Benson on Soap, who was too cynical and there weren’t youngish children, though later on Benson there were. Charles In Charge’s attraction to Scott Baio was a whole other kettle of fish though. Were Mr. French and Mr. Belvedere coded gays, maybe not as prominent as some of the characters of Bewitched, but to be perceived as gay nonetheless?

I don't know if this counts because he's an NBA player, but for years, I did not tell anyone about my secret crush on former Sacramento Kings player, Peja Stojakovic, because a high school friend made such a big deal out of my 'bad taste in a caveman.'

A few years later, my brother scored some good Lakers seats, and during halftime, my teenage self leaned over and yelled Peja! as he was heading into the locker. He made eye contact for a second with a very stoic look and gave me a gruff nod. He was quite the brute..
