If knocking on death's look for years Valerie Harper outlives America's Treasure Sandy Duncan won't that be ironic?

by Anonymousreply 1August 18, 2018 5:21 AM

I'll keep my glass eye on it OP.

by Anonymousreply 2August 18, 2018 5:24 AM

Sad final days? I won't believe it until I read it on the National Enquirer...

by Anonymousreply 3August 18, 2018 5:24 AM

Seeing her fly in Peter Pan was one of the most thrilling Broadway experiences I’ve ever had. Truly magical.

by Anonymousreply 4August 18, 2018 5:46 AM

It’s only funny until someone loses an eye.

How DID she lose that eye anyway?

by Anonymousreply 5August 18, 2018 5:57 AM

I saw Sandy in "Peter Pan" coincidentally on the happiest day of my life. About 25 years later I met her and told her how wonderful she was in it. She kissed me and said, "It's NEVER too late to tell an actress you LOVED her in ANYTHING!". It was funny and very sweet.

She had a brain tumor behind her eye, so she lost her sight as part of the surgery. I on the other had have no excuses.

Penis accident.

by Anonymousreply 9August 18, 2018 7:27 AM

She needs a neck lift, STAT!

by Anonymousreply 10August 18, 2018 7:43 AM

The poor thing hasn't even been nominated .

by Anonymousreply 11August 18, 2018 7:52 AM

She didn't lose an eye, nor does she have a glass eye.

by Anonymousreply 12August 18, 2018 8:11 PM

She was great in the commercials for Wheat Fats... I mean Wheat Thins.

by Anonymousreply 13August 18, 2018 8:17 PM

She was a revelation in “Chicago”

by Anonymousreply 14August 18, 2018 8:41 PM

My Peter Pan was Tony nominated.

by Anonymousreply 15August 18, 2018 8:44 PM

Yes, OP. Sandy Duncan is THE definitive national treasure.

by Anonymousreply 17August 20, 2018 6:05 PM

I just hope African-American waitresses haven't been spitting in her water glass.

by Anonymousreply 18August 20, 2018 6:08 PM

Sandy Duncan, in a wheat field

Love to do it! Love to do it!

by Anonymousreply 20August 20, 2018 6:30 PM

She improved the ratings of *my* show, and I hate her for it. She was even perkier than Mary - can you believe that? Oy.

by Anonymousreply 21August 20, 2018 6:37 PM

That bitch is high as a fuckin' kite in the video at R22

by Anonymousreply 23August 20, 2018 6:40 PM

Sandy Duncan glass eye is a Hollywood story.....

by Anonymousreply 27August 20, 2018 6:50 PM

Now the bank is as defunct as her career.

by Anonymousreply 28August 20, 2018 6:54 PM

Sandy could never give side eye very well.

by Anonymousreply 29August 20, 2018 6:59 PM

My claim to fame is that Ms Duncan and I got gas together at the Mobile Station outside Warner Bros circa 1978.

She had a brand new Mercedes SL and I had an old chevy.

by Anonymousreply 30August 20, 2018 7:03 PM

She was funnier than Valerie in the Hogan Family.

by Anonymousreply 31August 20, 2018 7:13 PM

Tell me about her brown eye.

by Anonymousreply 34November 13, 2020 5:41 AM

What has four arms., four legs and two eyes?

Sandy Duncan and Sammy Davis Jr.

by Anonymousreply 35November 13, 2020 5:44 AM

The flying was magnificent !

by Anonymousreply 36November 13, 2020 5:50 AM

^Or as we like to call them, the Sandyman.

by Anonymousreply 37November 13, 2020 5:54 AM

When Sandy was in Chicago at the Shubert and Dame Edna was at the Booth, Dame Edna said "little Sandy Duncan was listening with a glass on the wall of her dressing to hear what real applause sounded like".

Sandy and her sexy husband, Don Correia, making like the Castles on PBS.

R25, ironic that the masher in the first vignette is none other than David Groh who became Rhoda's husband.

I knew her. She is very different from her schtick, although there she is a very kind person at her heart. Just not a sap, a sugar-coater, a Pollyanna nor a tolerant witness to meanness or rudeness.

I remember how she loved cocaine (long time ago) but kept her use down because, as she said, "I don't want to end up like Liza and have my nose collapse." So she filled in with pot and hash.

Such great legs, in a best-friend/cute-sister way.
