I listened to his music for the first time last week and was absolutely surprised how good it was

His "bottomless" voice reminds me of Nico. It's a bit nasal, has vocal fry, and it's lazy but I still like it.

Not paying attention? That’s you OP. Not searching before posting either. Tsk.

Dora Dumbfuck that was the single and the thread died awhile ago.

I don’t object to a new thread, dear. I object to the claim that we were not paying attention to TS.

Isn't' 'universal acclaim' a bit of an overstatement OP?

"Universal acclaim" a category on Metacritic, which I linked to. I am dubious. It's a pleasant album though.

R7 As stated above, Universal Acclaim is a category on Metacritic for albums that are, well, Universally Acclaimed. They average what the critics are saying and then come up with that distinction.

I think My My My is a bop and should have been a bigger hit. Bloom is a terrible song and he cannot sing live to save himself. Its embarrassing. Painful to watch him perform on tv. Yikes

R10 He is not a great singer, especially not live, but the album itself is very good.

Saw him live a couple of weeks ago. He defnitely had heavy backing tracks during his more lively songs, because he moves a lot. I was surprised how much I enjoyed him as a performer. He was very chatty - too chatty - and engaged with his audience, seemed to be a charming kid. Not the best concert but it exceeded my expectations.

all THREE of them liked it?

I thought he was novel at first, but the whispercoo starts to grate. And he sounds like a sex addict.
