Two of the best horror films ever Evil dead was so original and funny with great unique effects but Hellraiser is so gory and the costumes is unbelievable such a great and original story it wins this battle.

Yeah, these are two great and effective horror flicks. There's just something about the chaotic nature in "The Evil Dead" that just makes it so much greater than "Hellraiser" for me.

The Evil Dead to me is a lot better but Hellraiser is still a horror classic but it does not beat The Great Evil Dead in my opinion ;)

I didn't care for Hellraiser to be honest. The Evil Dead is awesome though.

Was Hellraiser really a horror movie? It was, like, just pure boredom and some torture porn. The Evil Dead was really well made, actually unsettling and scary.
