A Sightseer (Japanese: かんこうきゃく Sightseer) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that debuted in the Generation IV games, where they appeared in Pokémon Battle Revolution. They later made their core series debut in Pokémon Sun and Moon.
They are very similar to the Tourist Trainer class from Generation VI. In Generation VII, Sightseers are depicted as young men and women in light summer wear, with hats and sunglasses, holding smartphones. They typically use the Kantonian variants of Pokémon that have regional forms in Alola. In the Battle Royal Dome, Sightseers specialize in Electric-, Ghost-, and Steel-type Pokémon.
Two Sightseers of different genders can team up in a Double Battle as Honeymooners. Alternatively, a Sightseer paired with a Punk Girl or Bellhop, depending on the gender, forms a Tourist Couple.

Sightseer Naomi forms a sync pair with Sandslash in Pokémon Masters EX. Naomi became a playable sync pair on September 15, 2022.

Pokémon Adventures
In Truth and the Mastermind Behind Team Skull, a male Sightseer was seen running away in horror from the Ultra Beasts that showed up in Alola. Later, a female Sightseer was seen at Hokulani Observatory.
