Shell Side Arm (Japanese: シェルアームズ Shell Arms) is a damage-dealing Poison-type move introduced in Generation VIII. It is the signature move of Galarian Slowbro.
Effect
Shell Side Arm deals damage and has a 20% chance of poisoning the target.
Shell Side Arm forecasts whether its base damage would be higher as a physical move or special move, and becomes the category that it predicts would inflict more damage (chosen randomly if they are tied). For the forecast only, stat modifiers other than stat stages are ignored, and Wonder Room is applied to stat stage modifiers but not to the original stats.
Shell Side Arm has a different animation depending on whether it is a physical or a special move. If it is a physical move, it makes contact; if it is a special move, it does not.
