Old Navy is gathering strength to overthrow its ailing parent, The Gap.
Old Navy, which has about 1,200 stores, wants to reach 2,000 locations by opening stores, mostly in smaller, underserved markets. The company aims to eventually hit $10 billion in annual sales. Old Navy opened 145 stores between 2016 and 2018.
Meanwhile, The Gap flounders into oblivion and withers on the vine with its sad playlists.

Give it up. They had a good run - but haven’t been relevant for over a decade.

Old Navy clothes are cheap rags. At least in its heyday, The Gap sold quality products.

Does anyone have the Old Navy in-store playlists for Spring-Summer ‘93? Thanks

You'd be surprised at how popular Old Navy still is. I went to one of those outlet malls during this recent labor day that had a mix of higher and lower quality brands. Out of all of the stores there, Old Navy was by far the most crowded and sold the most merchandise. Lines went to the back of the store and it took an estimated 45 minutes to get to the check out counters, for which there were ten of them open. Don't underestimate lower class Americans love of cheap things, especially in this day and age.

A lot of clothing sold at "It's a Wrap" resale stores from wardrobe departments at studios in LA are from Old Navy.
