Is the next James Bond going to be a gay man?
With Daniel Craig retiring as 007 last year, fans have been busy dream casting the role with actors of all types.
Some of our favorites for the role include gay actors like Bridgerton’s Jonathan Bailey, singer Sam Smith, and Thor’s Tessa Thompson. But our favorite has to be Luke Evans.
Now, Evans has commented on the chance that he could be the next Bond in an interview with BBC One's Saturday Kitchen.
“The new James Bond? Who knows? Nobody knows,” Evans responded to BBC One presenter Matt Tebbutt when asked if he was going to replace Craig. “I mean it would be nice, wouldn’t it? Don’t jinx it.”
It certainly would be nice!
Even if he doesn’t become the next Bond, Evans has plenty on his plate. He’s currently starring in the action thriller series Echo 3 on Apple TV+, where he plays a former US Army soldier who goes to Colombia to try to rescue his kidnapped sister.
He also recently wrapped filming Dan Levy’s directorial debut Good Grief. Good Grief, which is also written by and starring Levy, is about a widower (Levy) who travels to Paris to try to find his feet again, and also stars Ruth Negga, Himesh Patel, and Evans.
He’s also working on the custody-battle drama Our Son, where he stars opposite Billy Porter. The movie follows a divorcing couple (Porter and Evans) who are fighting for custody of their 8-year-old son.
If he is the next Bond, you can be sure our eyes will be glued to the screen!

Rumor has it that Bond gets irradiated by the next villain who’s a nuclear scientist. Casting Evans will save a ton on makeup & special effects.

RIDICULOUS typing on a shit site masquerading as journalism.

These twats think they can shart out anything and it's "plausible".

He's a better fit for the role than Aaron Taylor-Johnson.
Love Luke.

I think Sam Smith would be an inspired choice for Bond. Make it happen.

Evans doesn't have a hope in hell of the role, and shouldn't fool himself!
They need someone younger, or at least, someone who looks younger. He claims to be 43 but looks like he's in his mid-fifties, and the next Bond has to be someone who won't look like an old perv when put next to all those Bond Girls... and who won't look like an old perv next to the Bond Girls 10-15 years from now.
