Is Adele Nazeem considered a good stage actress in non-musicals?

She's almost impossible to cast onscreen because she's so strange looking. But I see she sometimes gets non-musical stage work.

She was quite good in a play entitled SKINTIGHT Off-Broadway this past summer.

She's doing the Patti LuPone biopic, isn't she?

She has only done the one play. She got good reviews.

She's much older than I thought, 47, though that shouldn't be such a surprise since she was the original in Rent in 1993.

Personally, I don't think she has all that great a voice compared to other stage actors. Sure, she's miles ahead of your average pop star, but compared to even someone like Sutton Foster, she's not all that special.

She does these loud inhaling breaths in between her singing. So annoying.

She has that gigantic mouth--it was made for musicals.

r5 Sutton Foster surprised me. Younger is a fun show and I always forget Sutton is a Broadway star. She completely eases into the role.

Idina is talented but her nasal voice is irritating. She was well cast in Enchanted, though. However it played on her Broadway/musical theatre strengths.

She’s a good enough actress. She is unusual looking but it can be spun as exotic. She looked fine in the movie of Rent and Enchanted.

She has a massive voice that can only be shown to best effect on specific roles

She was a bit more sexy/beautiful than the other high belters but the field is pretty strong now.

Sutton can dance and Sutton is adorable but she isn't 'original cast of RENT hot.' Sutton has also had a much more active career with more accolades. There is Sherri Rene Scott -- but I don't think she is at all on par with Idina when it comes to really committing to a song. She is great and has good comic timing. But apparently some people really hate her for the way she put together one of the shows she did. Most people who hate Idina, hate her because other people like her and that annoys them to no end.

If she's playing my mother, then yes!

I don’t thinj the film of Rent had the budget (and/or the interest) in filming Adele so she didn’t look terrifyingly. With some care about angles, she can look okay, but that did not happen in Rent.

For the record I think her singing and caring is absolutely, completely fine.

Idina and Cheno both have off balanced faces (Idina has a strong chin, and Cheno has a fivehead), an underbite, a huge high belt and a killer rack.

Idina is still an extraordinarily attractive Broadway belter.

She was good in that shitty movie Just A Kiss, where she was having wild sex with Ron Eldard.

Reviews indicate she was good in the shitty film, 'Ask the Dust' as well.
