Why am I not surprised this is being sold at Walmart?

My friend and I came up with our own unusual ice cream flavors. Mine was sweet potato ice cream with pecans and brown sugar and marshmallow swirls. His was apple pie with chunks of cinnamon crust and a sharp cheddar swirl.

Sweetened mozzarella is not unusual. I mean ricotta is made into dessert. What's the difference?

I threw up in my mouth a little just thinking about it. Cherry Garcia is my absolute fave,but I did used to love the watermelon ice cream Friendlys used to sell.

Van Leeuwen is a super-premium brand, like Graeter's or Jeni's. I'm surprised that it is at Walmart. Their Sicilian pistachio is the best I've ever had. I haven't tried any of the weird savory flavors.

Van Leeuwen also made/makes a Kraft Dinner ice cream that I've been dying to try (because why not?), but haven't yet. I'd definitely try this pizza version, out of pure morbid curiosity.

They have a Mac ‘N Cheese, too. Attention whores.

I tried one of their more traditional flavors. Was not impressed—except by the price.

Seriously, R15. Pints are $12 each. A guy on Youtube said that they won't ship less than four pints at a time, and shipping was $20. So he spent almost $70 just to try the Mac & Cheese ice cream on his channel (not a big channel). Ultimately, he didn't really care for that flavor, & said it was basically just flavored with the cheese powder, and was pretty savory.

I haven't heard anyone absolutely rave about ANY of their products, to be honest.

It sounds gross, but I can think of worse flavors.

I don't know about these flavors but sometimes I get high and order this brand's Earl Grey Tea ice cream and it's so good.

It could either be vomitous or delicious.

R14, their ice cream is much cheaper in grocery stores: typically $5.00-$8.00. I don't know why they charge $12.00 per carton when ordering directly from the company.

I've only tried honeycomb and pistachio and they are both good.

Salt & Straw has Thanksgiving flavors each year. They’re interesting.

Van Leeuwen is excellent ice cream. Not sure I could do that tho.
