Second, the OP's racist premise - and don't be fooled, it is the opening salvo of an utterly racist position - is based on a meager observation of a few gay couples, a wholly invalid sample reflecting observation bias without more rigorous support.

A few years ago, someone made the faulty claim that successful black men dated white women as a sign of success. Of course, there were many high profile examples that were thrown around, but it simply wasn't true.

The Asians mentioned above are Asian Americans. They may be Asian in ethnicity, but they are American in behavior, outlook, tastes, and temperament. They grew up in a predominantly white culture where the Asian male is marginalized. It is not surprising that they choose Caucasians as partners.

Interesting that 10% of weddings are same race. Other than weddings I was forced to attend for family reasons, I'd say 60-70% of the weddings I've attended have been mixed race. I guess a lot of those have been white/asian (gay and straight) weddings, but a few have been white/Indian, white/black, and biracial/biracial.

I find that of my circle of friends the only people who seem to majority marry their own race are Indian people.

If your circle of friends is predominantly white then maybe you just notice it more when one of them has a black boyfriend? Visit a gay black mecca like Atlanta and you will see that the vast majority of gay black men are in relationships with each other.

I've never understood where the notion that all black gay men are not-so-secretly exclusively lusting after white men comes from, it's completely untrue from my experience (GBM here). r98 Before I was partnered, I tended to avoid white guys just because they are so boring. It's not that I wasn't attracted to or interested in some white guys, its just that if I'm going to go out of my way to date somebody, I'm going to pick somebody I think I have a better chance of clicking with, and that's probably not going to be some lame privileged white guy who has never faced any actual issue and has never developed any of his own opinions.
