Im sick of Queerty’’s gatekeeping as seen in this article . One of the comments points it out.

“ A distaste for stereotypical “gay” activity inevitably results in backlash from the current clique of gatekeepers, who have their own narrative to promote. Folks simply need to realize that many people, possibly most people, aren’t into drag queens, attitude & sass, drugs, alcohol, touchy transgender dialect, lascivious and defiant public behavior, collars & dog masks, and Barbara Streisand. I guess they’re just boring, ordinary people. And boring, ordinary people have every right to choose who to associate with, and to speak openly about their lifestyles. To make a part of the world their own. Infabulous people are still VALID. Obviously, this is unacceptable to ambitious gatekeepers, who are motivated more by attention and growing their turf, than they are to making a better world for all.“

You're the commenter, huh OP?

They're right, this guy's list is some last-century stuff. This is how men stayed in the closet; by not going anywhere that could identify them in that way. That's fine. No one's stopping any of you.

However, these hole-clenching flop-sweating butch boys who feel the need to publicly announce their list of nays like its some badge of honor, when it's a huge cringey tedious overshare.... they don't realize how it makes them look (really mean-spirited imo), or they don't care and want to be that "edgy" gay guy.

He didn't cast judgment on any of that he just said he's not into it so that's his prerogative. Maybe and I are fully stated but at least there would be no question about whether you should approach or try to date them is there?

He was only stating his boundaries in time-honored DL fashion.

I've been saying the same thing on the thread about LGB Alliance. The queer crowd wants to promote a very specific idea of what all gays and lesbians are and call it "queer," and I'm not interested in that characterization. I have no objection whatsoever to drag queens, collars and dog masks or Barbra Streisand - I'm totally fine with those things - but I'm not interested in them and don't see why they should be used to define me. The queers think I'm boring but I think they're becoming a cliche.

I could do without the dog masks, they remind of the fellatio scene in "The Shining".

It all seems so contrived. No to all of it. I’ll just take the nice guy who doesn’t care.

Queerty is the typical farsical shithole site that would endorse Travis Kelce is a "gay icon" just because he's "dating" Taylor Swift.

Social media is awful. In the past this man's standards would've been private and known only to those he'd let close to him. But now? Screenshotted and commented on in virus-status by retarded children.
