A definite must see. This is such a weird unique movie I remember first seeing it as a teen and it has stuck with me all these years. It’s just so bizarre and pretentious.

I absolutely love this film. Cronenberg was a hot streak at this point, and Crash seemed to infuriate a lot of audiences.

But as a look into the hidden world and communities of fetish, especially one close to DC’s heart of bodily disfigurement, it knocked me out. It’s bizarre, comical, unnerving, and even moving.

Watching it while high may increase your appreciation. It did mine.

The book from JG Ballard is pretty great, too, but I love the film. I'm a diehard Cronenberg fan and I saw this in the cinema the day it opened. James Spader was perfect in it. Deborah Kara Unger was gorgeous and fearless in this. The close up shot on her twat was a bit shocking at the time, though. And Elias Koteas was hot af.

I am a fan of Cronenberg's earlier stuff (I love The Brood in particular), but Crash was a great movie. Elias Koteas getting fucked in the ass by James Spader was an added bonus.
