More and more brands are putting out champagne strong enough to withstand ice cubes. Are you drinking it and serving it? Ou bien quel horreur!

champagne is scammy IMO. You pay for aspirational branding. There are very good cavas and proseccos but they don't have the marketing cachet of champagne.

I have a friend who drinks prosecco on ice. She's done this for years. Her reasoning is that the ice cuts the bubbles so she doesn't get gas.

The pink champagne on ice, we are all prisoners of our own device....

Cava is made the way champagne is made - methode champanoise. Prosecco is made differently.

Riunite was pushing this as branding back in the 1970s, so it's not new.

For a celebration a couple months ago I got some Moet & Chandon 2009 which was quite good, but a cheaper Le Grande Courtage brut was undrinkable, so we put it over ice with some red and fruit juice for some sangria. Ice actually improved it, which tells you how terrible it was.
