Amherst Presbyterian Preschool is a Christian based program founded with the belief that preschool age children thrive in a positive, nurturing environment with ample opportunities for learning, exploration and discovery. We provide a theme-based curriculum designed to help children develop skills and concepts that will help to ease the transition from preschool to school. APP follows the Amherst County Public School calendar including inclement weather; we do not offer a summer program. We are a licensed facility regulated by the Virginia Department of Social Services. We are excited to offer new operating hours. Amherst Presbyterian Preschool has been providing over 30 years of quality early childhood education to our community.
Programs are available for children from 16 months to 4 years old. Preschool hours are Monday through Friday from 9 AM-1 PM. Additional programs available to enrolled students for an additional fee are:
Morning care is available for enrolled students starting at 7:30 a.m. - 8:55 a.m.
Extended care is available for enrolled students 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
